TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.) PLACING AN ORDER WITH US.
1.1) You can place an order with us by using our website and passing through our secure on-line checkout process or by using our website and/or mail order brochure as reference before you place orders by post, telephone or fax.
1.2) When using our online checkout process or by placing an order on the telephone you will be given the option to check and correct any errors before fully committing to this process.
1.3) When ordering by fax or mail order Using either our website or brochure as a guide you confirm that you have checked your order thoroughly before sending it to us.
1.4) Once we have received your order request we will send you an acknowledgement of your order detailing the products and or services you have ordered, the prices charged and any relevant information concerning your order.
1.5) Our acceptance of your order will take place once your goods have been despatched, at this point the purchase contract is formed even if payment was processed at the time of your order request. We will confirm the despatch of your order by email to the address supplied by you at the time of ordering.
1.6) Bar Equipment Direct reserve the right to cancel or refuse to accept an order from you if:
6.1a) The goods you have ordered are no longer available for sale.
6.1b) We are unable to obtain authorisation for the payment you have tendered.
6.1c) An error has occurred in the description or details including the pricing of a product or service.
6.1d) You do not meet any criteria set out in either our terms & conditions or the legal jurisdictions of either our place of business or your place of residence.
6.1e) We believe an order is fraudulent.
6.1f) We believe you to be under 18 years of age.
1.7) If you are making a purchase from a country outside of the United Kingdom you are liable for any legal notifications, import taxes or duties that may apply when products are delivered to you. By continuing to place an order with us you are confirming that you understand your liability in this matter and accept your responsibilities fully.
We do not offer any advice on either the amount that may be charged or the process that may be entered into to satisfy the relevant authority that control this matter in the Country or territory that you have asked us to despatch you order to. We strongly recommend that you investigate this matter before you make a purchase and consult your local authority that is responsible for the importing of goods and the collection of tax and duty before you place an order with us.
1.8) To place an order with us you must be over 18 years of age.
1.9) When placing an order through the post you must complete a priority order form which is available for download from other sections of this website. The sending of any payment through the post is at your risk.
We do not recommend that you post cash in any currency or mail an uncrossed cheque or un crossed postal orders to us. If you do choose to act against our advice we strongly recommend that use the Royal Mails Special Delivery Service and insure your posting to a value which gives you the protection to adequately cover the amount enclosed.
1.10) When placing an order by fax you must complete a priority order form which is available for download from other sections of this website. You must not include any payment information, credit or debit card details or bank account details within the faxed order document. Once we have received your order by fax one of our trained staff will contact you directly to retrieve payment processing details securely.
2.) PRICING & SERVICE CHARGES.
2.1) We endeavour to ensure all prices displayed on our website for both products and services are correct, but in some exceptional circumstances errors may occur. If during the processing of your order we discover that we have displayed an incorrect price we will contact you directly using the details you supplied when placing your order, you will have the option to either reconfirm your order at the correct price or to cancel your order. If you request that your order is cancelled you will be fully refunded directly.
2.2) Prices displayed on this website including delivery charges and insurance are excluding VAT, VAT will be added at the rate of 17.5% to your shopping basket total. All prices on this website including the cost of delivery are displayed Ex VAT.
2.3) The purchase prices of items displayed within this website are exclusive of all service charges in relation to packaging, shipping and goods in transit insurance. We make a separate charge for these services; appropriate rates charged are set out within other sections of this website and can be viewed at any time by checking your active shopping cart.
2.4) When making a purchase using our website you choose to display prices in any other currency that “£ Sterling (GBP)” you are acknowledging your understanding to the fact that the currency converter is offered by us for you to use freely as a guide only that may not accurately show prices that reflect current exchange rates.
2.5) If the use of the currency conversion tool on our website results in an overpayment to us for the goods and or services that you have ordered the over paid sum will be credited back with out delay and in full to the credit or debit card that was used to place the order.
2.6) If the use of the currency conversion tool on our website results in an under payment to us for the goods you have ordered and an outstanding balance exists we will inform you by email and await payment before despatching or accepting your order.
2.7) If any outstanding balance is not made within 14 days of us informing you of this fact by email we will refuse to accept your order. If after a 14 day period we have declined your order we reserve the right to make a charge equal to10% of the initial order value in “ £ (GBP) Sterling” to cover costs incurred in the taking and then refunding your payment. This charge will be deducted from balance we hold prior to it being refunded to you.
3.) CANCELLING YOUR ORDER & RETURNING GOODS.
3.1) You are welcome to cancel your order with us before it is despatched for any reason by calling our sales office directly on 01209 313522 or by emailing sales@barequipmentdirect.com we will acknowledge your cancellation request by email within 2 business days and issue a full refund to the credit or debit card used to place your order within 7 business days from the date of our acknowledgement.
3.2) If you wish to cancel your order after your items have been despatched you can return goods that you have purchased from us for any reason at any time within 14 days of receipt for either a replacement or for a full refund of the purchase price, this refund excludes the amount paid for the packaging shipping and insuring of your order.
3.3) To return goods to us you will need a Returns Authorization Number (RAN) to generate a RAN you must contact us as soon as possible, your request must be made within 14days from the date you received your parcel .
3.4) You can make your return request by calling us on 01209 313522 or by emailing returns@barequipmentdirect.com and advise us that you would like to return an item or items and the reason for your return. If you make your request via email you will be contacted by one of our team within 48 business hours with your RAN.
3.5) Before a refund or replacement of goods can be issued items must be returned to us for inspection un-opened and un-used in a re-saleable condition. This includes all packaging, accessories, manuals and documentation that was enclosed within the original parcel. We will process your refund or replacement within 10 business days from the date your returned goods were received by ourselves.
3.6) The cost of sending goods back to us shall be paid by you. You agree to use a service that is traceable, requires a signature on delivery and give adequate insurance of goods against damage and loss whilst in transit. We DO NOT accept a Royal Mail proof of posting certificate as evidence of despatch.
3.7) If goods are either lost or damaged whilst in transit we will not enter into any communication with the carriers you have chosen. We will provide to you any information that you require to attain a reimbursement from your carrier’s insurance policy.
3.8) If goods are returned without consent after the 14 day period or without a valid RAN no refund or replacement will be issued.
3.9) Your right to return goods will not apply to
3.9a) Any item(s) that have been used.
3.9b) Any sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened
3.9c) Any perishable items
3.9d) Any Items(s) that have been made altered or personalised specifically for you.
3.9e) Any product(s) that we have ordered specifically for you from any of our suppliers.
3.9f) Any item(s) that have been misused or used in a way other than as recommended by the manufacturer.
4.) COLLECTION & DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER.
4.1) You are welcome to collect or arrange the collection of your order from our warehouse in Cornwall at your expense and liability.
4.2) When an order is collected from us either by yourself or by a third party acting on your behalf it then becomes your responsibility to ensure your order reaches you safely, on time and in as good a condition as it left us. Once collection has taken place we will not enter into any communications regarding your item(s) if they are delivered damaged or are lost in transit. No claim for refund or replacement will be entertained by our selves in such circumstances arising. All matters regarding delivery will have to be raised by you with the third party you instructed to effect your collection.
4.3) If you have informed us of your intention and have instructed a courier to collect an order from us we reserve the right to make a charge for the packaging of goods that are to be subjected to a parcel, postal or couriers network. If a charge for the packaging of items will be applied to your order you will be informed at the point of purchase and advised as to the relevant amount. This charge must be paid prior to your items leaving our warehouse.
4.4) All orders that are despatched by us or that are prepared for collection are checked to verify that they are complete and that all items contained within that order are in the same condition as advertised within our website. This quality control exercise will be conducted prior to your order leaving our warehouse.
4.5) Any claim for item(s) being delivered either incomplete or damaged must be made within 3 business days of receipt of your order by contacting us directly on 01209 313522 or by emailing us at sales@barequipmentdirect.com. We will acknowledge your claim by email within 2 business days and inform you as to the action or investigation we will undertake to resolve this issue. If your claim is upheld we will issue your replacement or refund within 10 business days from the date we acknowledged your claim.
4.6) All goods are despatched in full accordance with our carrier’s terms and conditions of carriage and delivery time schedule. Any delivery times expressed either on this website or to you by any of our staff in any form of communication is a service guide only. No guarantee is offered for delivery dates, days or times when goods are carried by a third party on our behalf.
4.7) In no event will we be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of our website, the use of any items purchased from our website or for any issue connected with the delivery of your order.
5.) PRIVACY & SECURITY.

5.10) When using the Bar Equipment Direct website your details will be passed through a secure checkout process which is protected by a 128bit SSL Secure Server. All credit and debit card transactions and personal details are completely safe and encrypted whilst passing through our checkout.
5.11) We do not store your credit card details on any of our computers, servers or databases, once used to complete your purchase they are removed from our system.
5.12) When you make a payment using a credit or debit card you will always receive a duplicate copy of the transaction slip attached to your invoice, this slip will only ever show the last 4 digits of your card number making it safe and secure to either post to you or enclose it with your order.
5.13) If you telephone us your call will be treated in the strictest of confidence, all telephone orders and payments are taken by our trained sales team who are checked and vetted prior to being charged with security sensitive roles within our company.
