Instruction Of Use
Law/Inaccurate Pouring
If this pourer is being purchased for use in the United Kingdom, please be aware that if you plan on using this pourer with vodka, gin, rum or whiskey then you will have to pour into a government stamped measure/thimble.
Please note this pourer is designed to pour alcohol, the pouring of non alcoholic drinks may result in inaccurate pouring.
Washing
Before using the measured pourer, soak in warm soapy water for 5 minutes. After washing rinse thoroughly in cold water.
DO NOT use bleach or abrasive cleaners.
DO NOT Place in a dishwasher or use water that is too hot to touch.
Inserting/Removing/Replacing
Pourers and corks must be damp when inserting into bottles, doing this immediately after washing is the the best way although if the pourers have dried, dampen them with cold water before inserting. When inserting a pourer into a bottle, twist slightly and push until snug.
Typically only three rings of the cork will fit into the bottle. Some bottles with a bigger bore hole will require all four rings to be inserted to prevent leakage.
NEVER force the pourer into the bottle, as it may break or crack.
To remove the pourer from the bottle, simply twist and pull straight out.
When replacing pourers or using pourers in more than one specific bottle, it is advised that you 'reset the cork'. To do this run warm water over the pourer and rinse with cold water.
Priming The Pourer
It is essential that you prime each pourer before the first use of each bottle and after ever clean. To prime, simply hold a finger over the spout and quickly turn the bottle into the correct pouring angle (45 – 60 degrees) and then back to the upright position, repeat this process once more and you pourer is primed.
Please be aware even if you have primed your pourer correctly the first pour after the prime may still be inaccurate.
Pouring
When pouring make sure to turn the bottle in a smooth motion to a 45 – 60 degree angle. This pourer is designed to pour fast, but as with any alcohol pourer never 'whip' the bottle into pouring position.
